Following a Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling last month that the state’s current GOP-drawn legislative maps are unconstitutional, today marks the deadline for parties in the case to submit map options that meet Wisconsin’s constitutional requirements.

Assembly Bill 510 encourages parents to take legal action against teachers and schools for simply doing their jobs and, according to media reports and records obtained by A Better Wisconsin Together, the extremist right-wing law firm Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty was intimately involved in writing and advancing the bill.

As we mark the third anniversary of the events that unfolded on January 6, the political violence unleashed by the MAGA faction that day continues to reverberate in Wisconsin, and not just in election denial or efforts to derail holding insurrectionists accountable. Their extremism extends to policies denying people bodily autonomy, intimidating educators from teaching our real history, and putting corporate profits before our well being.
