MADISON, Wis. — Recently filed Wisconsin campaign finance disclosures reveal three right-wing billionaires – Diane Hendricks, Richard Uihlein, and Elizabeth Uihlein – provided a stunning percentage of the campaign cash raised in the last six months by the Assembly and Senate campaign committees, and the Republican Party of Wisconsin, which in turn made transfers to MAGA gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany.
“This is a blatant attempt by three billionaires to buy a state government that will serve them, not us,” commented A Better Wisconsin Together Deputy Director Mike Browne. “And as we’ve seen time and again, MAGA elected officials have been all too willing to sell us out for the wealthiest.”
Over the last year and a half, right-wing Illinois billionaires Richard (Dick) and Elizabeth Uihlein along with Wisconsin billionaire Diane Hendricks have invested nearly $35 million dollars into right-wing candidates and political operations registered in Wisconsin, including in just the last six months:
- $5.5 million to the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (RACC);
- $4.0 million to the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate (CERS); and
- $6.5 million to the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW).
Further analysis by A Better Wisconsin Together shows the stunning share of the total 2026 fundraising of these state campaign committees attributable to Hendricks and the Uihleins – nearly 85 percent of funds raised by RACC’s state account, over 80 percent for CERS, and nearly 88 percent for RPW respectively.
In addition, RPW transferred campaign cash from their billionaire-filled coffers to MAGA gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany that accounted for roughly 70 percent of the total fundraising haul he reported in the first half of 2026.
The following provides additional breakdowns of the massive amounts of cash the three billionaires are providing and how it is fueling MAGA Republican campaigns in Wisconsin:
Dick and Elizabeth Uihlein
Since January 1, 2025, the Uihleins have doled out $21,914,310.70 to Wisconsin state candidates, Republican Party groups, legislative campaign committees, and other political entities. This total includes maxing out individual contributions to gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany and attorney general candidate Eric Toney, and doling out $4 million dollars during the last six months to the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
Diane Hendricks
Billionaire Diane Hendricks, now the richest person in Wisconsin, has similarly made significant efforts to prop up Wisconsin GOP candidates, political infrastructure, and affiliated groups, with a total of $12,875,250 from January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. This comes on top of Hendricks’ $25 million contribution to MAGA Inc.
