The Election is Over, But the Work to Advance Wisconsin Values Continues

In the coming weeks, months, and years we will continue fighting for the values that we share as Wisconsinites, and hold accountable any politician or elected leader that isn’t standing for our collective needs and values.

MADISON, Wis. — As the 2024 election comes to a close, A Better Wisconsin Together Executive Director Chris Walloch released the following statement:

“As Wisconsinites, we know that there’s more that unites us than divides us and we will not let the divisiveness of the Project 2025, MAGA agenda halt our work for a better future.

“It’s because we believe in this shared future that Wisconsin voters re-elected Senator Tammy Baldwin, choosing a forward looking agenda that invests in us and our communities. From standing up for abortion access and our right to contraception, to spearheading the Respect for Marriage Act and ensuring federal infrastructure dollars bring jobs and clean energy to Wisconsin, Senator Baldwin has a proven track record of delivering for Wisconsinites, and we look forward to another six years of Senator Baldwin continuing to help Wisconsin families thrive.

“This election also marked a monumental shift towards accountability and transparency at our state Capitol. Thanks to Wisconsin’s new fair maps, we now are closer to having a state legislature that will address the issues that matter to Wisconsinites.

“For the first time in decades, these fair maps – made possible by the progressive majority on our Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling that previously gerrymandered maps were unconstitutional – empowered voters to be able to elect leaders who truly reflect their communities’ values and better hold accountable those who don’t.

“As we approach another Wisconsin Supreme Court election in 2025, we must continue holding those elected to the court accountable to protecting our constitutional rights and freedoms.

“In the coming weeks, months, and years we will continue fighting for the values that we share as Wisconsinites, and hold accountable any politician or elected leader that isn’t standing for our collective needs and values.”
