Rebecca Bradley Announces She Won’t Seek Election in 2026, Admits Her Right-Wing Extremism Not Fit for State Supreme Court

MADISON, Wis. — Right-wing Justice Rebecca Bradley confirmed long simmering speculation that she did not believe she could win re-election to the state Supreme Court with her announcement today that she will not seek to retain her seat in the April 2026 election.
The following are the statements of A Better Wisconsin Together Deputy Director Mike Browne:
“Wisconsinites have repeatedly made clear they don’t want right-wing extremist judges who attack our freedoms and shill for billionaires in our courts.
“Rebecca Bradley has apparently recognized that too. Her announcement today is an admission, before a single vote is cast, that her brand of vitriol and right-wing extremism can’t win a state Supreme Court race.
“Bradley declared herself to be a ‘servant’ to the state’s big business lobby when she began on the Supreme Court. She leaves behind a legacy of doing just that, repeatedly siding with the right-wing and special interests that underwrote her campaigns and her junkets.
“The extreme right-wing, the wealthy, and the corporate special interests may find a new standard bearer. But the people of Wisconsin have shown time and again they will reject that kind of candidate and instead stand up for their freedom and what’s best for their families and their communities.”
