MADISON, Wis. – In honor of Labor Day, A Better Wisconsin Together is calling on all of our elected lawmakers to support, protect, and expand workers’ rights amid continued attacks from the Trump Administration and MAGA Republicans.

The following are statements from A Better Wisconsin Together:

“No matter the job, Wisconsin workers should have the freedom to be safe at work, have their voices heard, earn family-supporting wages, and have proper benefits.

“But right now, workers’ rights across the state are under attack by the Trump Administration and decades of GOP politicians in our state legislature putting greedy billionaires over everyday Wisconsin workers.

“Trump and Wisconsin Republicans are trying to strip away dozens of protections for local workers described by labor policy experts as a reversal of ‘critical standards that ensure workers get a just day’s pay and come home healthy and safe.’

“When Wisconsin workers are properly supported and protected, we all benefit. That’s why this Labor Day and beyond, we’re demanding better and ensuring that Trump and his Republican allies in Wisconsin are held accountable to protecting the needs of Wisconsin workers.”
