After several listening sessions across the state where Wisconsinites spoke to lawmakers on the Joint Finance Committee about what our communities need in the next state budget, it’s time to see if the majority Republican legislators will finally prioritize their constituents’ needs, or continue as they have for years and put partisan politics over the people of Wisconsin.

Popular asks from Wisconsinites at this year’s listening sessions – which are already part of Governor Evers’ proposed budget that finance committee members will soon vote on – include help with rising costs, funding for affordable health care and child care, fully funding Wisconsin’s public schools, clean drinking water, bolstering the local workforce, supporting Wisconsin’s farmers, and more.
