MADISON, Wis. – Tonight, Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany is set to participate in a primetime televised debate as part of his run for governor of Wisconsin. Congressman Tiffany, who received Trump’s endorsement after voting in lockstep with him 100% of the time, will likely continue deflecting from his record as polling shows the MAGA agenda growing increasingly unpopular in Wisconsin.
Ahead of tonight’s debate, here are 3 undebatable facts Wisconsinites should know about Congressman Tiffany’s record:
- Congressman Tiffany supports banning abortion with no exceptions, and has the endorsements to prove it. Tiffany recently backed a total abortion ban with no exceptions that news reports have said could make abortion “legally tantamount” to committing murder. Tiffany also voted to ban abortion in 2015, co-sponsored a 2021 federal abortion ban, and even voted against protecting Wisconsinites’ right to access birth control. Tiffany is endorsed (for the seventh time) by the notorious anti-abortion group Wisconsin Right to Life and was given the highest rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America – a group that wants to end abortion rights at the federal level.
- Congressman Tiffany is funded nearly exclusively by 3 billionaires, and has consistently put the ultra-rich ahead of everyday Wisconsinites. Since January 2025, Congressman Tiffany’s campaign has benefitted from over $40 million in MAGA billionaire cash as his vote last summer gave massive tax cuts to the ultra-rich, paid for by cuts to healthcare and food for the senior citizens, working people, and children he’s supposed to represent. Tiffany’s billionaire-funded haul also comes after he voted to change Wisconsin’s campaign finance laws to allow corporations and the ultra-wealthy to make unlimited donations to political parties and campaign committees.
- Congressman Tiffany keeps voting to raise costs, and was nowhere to be found when he had the opportunity to make housing more affordable. Congressman Tiffany has voted 5 times to continue the war in Iran, and even more times in favor of MAGA tariffs, despite knowing that it’s pricing Wisconsinites out of everything from gas to groceries. But when he had 3 opportunities to show up and vote on a bill to make housing more affordable in Wisconsin, Tiffany skipped all 3 votes.
