Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda is Sure to Fall Short in Wisconsin Tonight
MADISON, Wis. – Tonight, Donald Trump will make a stop in La Crosse for a town hall where he will speak directly with local residents, but try as he might, he won’t be able to dodge just how out of touch he is on the issues that matter to Wisconsinites.
Trump bragged about appointing the extreme right-wing Supreme Court justices that overturned Roe v. Wade, putting state politicians in charge of making our reproductive health care decisions for us. Trump and extreme Republicans’ Project 2025 agenda also proposes a national abortion ban.
“In Wisconsin, we know firsthand the danger that can come from putting GOP state lawmakers in charge of making decisions about our access to reproductive healthcare,” said A Better Wisconsin Together Communications Director Lucy Ripp.
He also told Wisconsinites earlier this year that he might not accept the 2024 Presidential election results, hinting at a possible repeat of the 2020 election when he incited the violent January 6 attack and tried to throw out thousands of Wisconsinites’ votes.
Trump’s Project 2025 would also help his wealthy billionaire backers avoid paying what they owe in taxes while raising costs for hardworking families.
“Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda have no place here in Wisconsin, where we value things like lowering costs for families, having voters – not politicians – decide the outcomes of our elections, and making our own reproductive healthcare choices, free from political interference,” said Ripp. “Wisconsinites have united together to reject Trump and his MAGA allies’ agenda in the past, and we will do it again.”
