MADISON, Wis. — The following are the statements of A Better Wisconsin Together interim director Garrick Delzell on Governor Tony Evers 2020 State of the State address:

“Governor Evers is right. There is a lot of good work the administration and the legislature can do to help the people of Wisconsin this year.

“From making sure when you turn on your tap you get safe, clean drinking water to when you show up to vote, that elections are free and fair, Gov. Evers laid out a common sense agenda in his State of the State speech.

“Cracking down on the price gouging of prescription drugs like insulin for kids and adults with diabetes and taking on the scourge of student loan debt will help make sure the hard work Wisconsin families put in every day means economic security for them.

“The state of the state is hopeful in 2020 because there’s so much good that can be done in Wisconsin. Gov. Evers laid out an agenda that leads the way, we’re hopeful Republicans will join in to work with Democrats and make it a reality.”
