MADISON, Wis. – Following today’s primary election, sitting Congressman Tom Tiffany is now officially the Republican nominee for Wisconsin governor this November. However, his record in office shows a career spent putting MAGA billionaires and political allies ahead of his constituents here at home in the Badger State.

“Tiffany is asking Wisconsinites for a promotion to statewide office, but even a cursory review of his resumé shows he can’t be trusted to protect our freedoms or put our interests first,” said A Better Wisconsin Together communications director Lucy Ripp.

Given Tiffany’s history of trying to hide his record from the public, A Better Wisconsin Together has you covered. Here are 4 quick facts about Tiffany that Wisconsinites deserve to know:

  • Tiffany is funded almost exclusively by 3 billionairesand we know why. Recently filed campaign finance reports show that Tiffany has benefitted from more than $10 million in campaign cash from 3 MAGA billionaires after he threw everyday Wisconsinites under the bus and rigged the law to benefit the ultra-wealthy. In fact, MAGA billionaire-connected money accounts for over 65% of the total fundraising haul Tiffany has reported since announcing his run for governor.

  • Tiffany is rated the most extreme – and least bipartisan – Congressional representative from Wisconsin. Tiffany is rated Wisconsin’s #1 most conservative Congressional representative, and among the least likely Congressional representatives to reach across the aisle in bipartisanship.

  • Tiffany is an election denier. In the aftermath of the 2020 Presidential election, Tiffany voted not to certify the election results and supported efforts to use the courts to try to overturn Trump’s loss. As recently as Spring 2026, Tiffany still refused to admit Trump lost in 2020. Tiffany also endorsed a taxpayer-funded payout for January 6 insurrectionists.

  • Tiffany wants to ban abortion. As recently as 2024, Tiffany endorsed banning abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or for the life of the mother. According to news reports, the legislation Tiffany endorsed would make abortion care legally equal to committing murder, would allow criminal charges against both patients and doctors, and also threatens access to IVF and other fertility treatments. In 2022, Tiffany also voted against ensuring women have the right to access birth control.
