MADISON, Wis. — As we mark Independence Day amid the Trump Administration’s attacks on our most fundamental freedoms, A Better Wisconsin Together released the following statement:

“From blatantly ignoring court orders, arresting judges and threatening to arrest anyone who doesn’t agree with his extreme agenda, abducting our neighbors off the streets, and more, Trump and his MAGA allies are unrelenting in launching new attacks on our freedoms and democracy.

“This year, A Better Wisconsin Together urges all of our elected lawmakers to not only reflect on what the 4th of July holiday represents, but to take direct action and stand up for Wisconsinites in the face of these attacks on our rights and freedoms.

“As some Wisconsin Republicans blatantly enable Trump’s illegal actions, it’s up to us to use our voices and remind those who govern in our name that they work for us – we, the people – and they have a sworn duty to protect our freedoms, our families, and our futures.”
