A Better Wisconsin Together Reacts to Yet Another Radical, Incoherent Speech from Donald Trump in Wisconsin

Today was yet another speech from Donald Trump where he told stories about himself and aired his personal grievances, went on weird and irrelevant tangents, and spread lies to distract and divide instead talking about real solutions to issues facing Wisconsin families.

MADISON, Wis. — This afternoon, Donald Trump delivered yet another rambling, radically out of touch, and divisive speech in Wisconsin.

In response, A Better Wisconsin Together Deputy Director Mike Browne released the following statement:

“Today was yet another speech from Donald Trump where he told stories about himself and aired his personal grievances, went on weird and irrelevant tangents, and spread lies to distract and divide instead talking about real solutions to issues facing Wisconsin families.

“Hardworking Wisconsin families want and deserve action on lowering costs at the grocery store, affordable child care and health care, and ensuring our rights and freedoms are protected.

“But Trump will do and say anything to distract us from his dangerous Project 2025 agenda that would give tax cuts to the wealthiest few while leaving working families behind, give himself unchecked Presidential power, repeal the Affordable Care Act that helps people get the healthcare coverage they need regardless of what’s in their wallet, and attack basic freedoms like reproductive health care and voting.

“Instead of spreading division and hate, we deserve leaders who will focus on the values that unite us. And instead of just working for the wealthy few, we demand leaders whose policies will lift all of us up.”
