A Better Wisconsin Together Reacts to J.D. Vance’s Weird, Anti-Working Families Agenda Amid Visit to De Pere
MADISON, Wis. – Ahead of GOP Senator J.D. Vance’s speech in De Pere this evening, A Better Wisconsin Together is calling attention to how Vance’s economic agenda prioritizes the wealthy few and greedy corporations while raising costs for the middle class and leaving hardworking Wisconsin families behind.
Project 2025, written by MAGA allies as a blueprint for a Trump-Vance Administration, would: ban abortion, raise taxes for middle class families while helping the wealthy few avoid paying what they owe, take away protections for workers, make it harder for senior citizens to retire and afford health care, and would help Big Pharma raise prescription drug prices.
“Vance can try and mislead the public about his Project 2025 agenda all he wants, but Wisconsinites aren’t buying it,” said Lucy Ripp, Communications Director at A Better Wisconsin Together. “No matter how he slices it, it’s clear that the Trump-Vance economic agenda would give more pieces of the pie to the wealthiest few, making life harder for average working families across Wisconsin while helping greedy corporations line their own pockets.”
Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris recently unveiled a different economic vision for our future that would: protect our freedoms, lower the cost of groceries, prevent greedy corporations from price gouging, help more families afford housing, and lower the cost of healthcare and prescription drug prices.
“The bottom line is, Wisconsinites shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table, paying for housing, or affording their medications while big corporations get wealthier at our expense,” said Ripp. “We deserve leaders who will make sure Wisconsin families are able to thrive, not just survive.”
