MADISON, Wis. — A Better Wisconsin Together is applauding Attorney General Josh Kaul and Governor Tony Evers for standing up for Wisconsin families in a new lawsuit against Donald Trump’s terrible tariffs that are costing us all. Recent reporting found Trump’s tariffs are causing Wisconsin farms to go bankrupt at record rates and another study found they hiked costs on Wisconsin families to the tune of $1,700 in 2025.

“Wisconsin families and businesses shouldn’t have to foot the bill for Donald Trump’s unlawful tariff tax,” said A Better Wisconsin Together spokesperson Lucy Ripp. “We deserve our money back, and this latest lawsuit is necessary to stop even more cost hikes.”

Meanwhile, Trump acolyte Tom Tiffany praised the tariff tax hikes as “really good things” and cast deciding votes in the U.S. House of Representatives to keep imposing tariffs in 2025 and 2026.

“Sadly, we’ve seen Tom Tiffany is more interested in standing by Donald Trump than standing up for Wisconsin farmers, families, and small businesses,” concluded Ripp.
