MADISON, Wis. – As Vice President Kamala Harris delivers remarks in Milwaukee this evening, A Better Wisconsin Together is applauding the Vice President for prioritizing the Badger State on the heels of unveiling her new economic policy agenda aimed at lowering costs and helping working families get ahead.

“Vice President Harris’ new economic policy agenda represents a significant step forward in making sure Wisconsin families are able to thrive, not just survive,” said Lucy Ripp, communications director at A Better Wisconsin Together. “We applaud the Vice President’s work as a fierce advocate for issues that matter to Wisconsinites and for standing up to the MAGA Project 2025 economic agenda that would prioritize the wealthy few while leaving average working families behind.”

Vice President Harris’ economic agenda includes:

  • Lowering the cost of groceries with a ban on price gouging from big corporations;
  • Easing financial stress for first time home buyers;
  • Making health care more affordable by lowering the cost of prescription drugs;
  • Creating a child tax credit that would make child care more affordable for working parents;
  • And more

“Wisconsinites shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table, paying their mortgage, or affording their medications,” said Ripp. “From cracking down on price gouging at the grocery store, to addressing the housing crisis and health care affordability, it’s clear that Vice President Harris is listening to the concerns of everyday Wisconsinites and taking action.”
