MADISON, Wis. — In response to GOP Senator J.D. Vance’s speech in Milwaukee today, A Better Wisconsin Together Communications Director Lucy Ripp released the following statement:

“From supporting a national abortion ban and voting against protecting IVF and marriage equality, to not even bothering to show up for a vote on protecting contraception access, it’s clear that Vance has a track record of going against the values of everyday Wisconsinites – and it doesn’t stop there.

“Vance has previously suggested that he would not have immediately certified the 2020 election, indicating he is willing to do or say whatever it takes to let the MAGA faction gain power – including throwing out millions of Wisconsinites’ votes – and has also signaled support for taking earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare away from hardworking families.

Vance’s weird and dangerous Project 2025 Agenda has no home here in Wisconsin.”
