A Better Wisconsin Together Thanks President Biden for a Career of Fighting for Working Families, Protecting our Freedoms
MADISON, Wis. – Following President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election, A Better Wisconsin Together Executive Director Chris Walloch released the following statement:
“A Better Wisconsin Together is thankful for President Biden’s long and dedicated career of fighting to protect our rights and freedoms. From our access to reproductive health care and the ability to marry who we love, all the way to signing the first major gun safety legislation in three decades and doing more than any other president to stop climate change, President Biden has spent decades fighting to give us a better future.
“President Biden has also spent his career fighting on behalf of working families, giving us the tools and opportunities we need to thrive by lowering everyday costs, creating new jobs, and more. By stepping aside and passing the baton, he once again is acting on what’s best for us by allowing a new generation of leaders to protect our freedoms and fight for a future where everyone can thrive.
“Now more than ever, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans right here in Wisconsin want to undo years of progress made by the Biden-Harris Administration. Last week in Milwaukee, the MAGA faction at the RNC showed us that their priority is not the American people, but their own self interests. They will work to divide us so that they can ban abortion, cut Social Security and Medicare, and give more tax breaks to the wealthy and big corporations.
“Wisconsinites have come together in the past to reject the MAGA agenda, and as President Biden carries out his term in office and allows a new generation of leaders to step in, we will do it again.”
