We have workers in Racine in La Crosse, workers from Monroe to Appleton, across the state. No matter where we are, we are demanding that every person, no matter their race, identity, or zip code, have a voice on the job and in our democracy.
Laborers, police officers, firefighters, educators, nurses, Peters, airline workers, custodians, transit workers, steel workers, grocery store workers, and hotel workers—they all built this country. You all are the backbone of our country and deserve to be treated as such.
We’re going to keep fighting for a world where we can all live together, feel secure, and raise our families with hope, financial stability, and security. A world where women’s reproductive rights aren’t taken away, where our safety isn’t compromised because of unrestricted gun usage, where healthcare is a right and not a cause for someone to go into debt, and where our economy is inclusive of immigrants from every country.
We know who they are, but we also know who we are. We’re a room full of people who are ready to organize, ready to fight for someone we don’t even know, ready to fight for people who don’t look like us, who don’t share our religion, don’t have the same sexual orientation. People who care about making this country a better place for everyone.
