Congressman Tom Tiffany has voted to support foreign wars and trade wars - including the deciding vote in 2025 to keep trade war policies in place and supporting trade war policies with Wisconsin’s leading trading partner, Canada - that are driving up costs for working families, seniors, and the middle class in Wisconsin. In a radio appearance Tiffany said of Trump’s trade war policies, “…all these things are really good things.”

Congressman Tom Tiffany has used Washington’s corrupt system to benefit himself and his wealthy donors. He has supported policies that raise costs for Wisconsin families like supporting tax cuts for the ultra-rich instead of the middle class and voting against capping prescription drug costs. Now, his campaign for governor has benefited from $14 million in campaign spending from just three billionaire donors. He will continue to put their interests first and raise costs for Wisconsinites. 

Congressman Tom Tiffany supports putting politicians like himself in charge of your reproductive healthcare decisions. He’s supported imposing dangerous bans on abortion at the state and federal level, and even went so far as to cast a vote against legislation to protect access to contraception. Tiffany has also been repeatedly endorsed by an extremist anti-abortion group that wants to use a state law from 1849 to ban abortion in Wisconsin.

Congressman Tom Tiffany voted to protect politicians like himself from accountability. When fellow Republicans and big business special interests were alleged to have run afoul of state ethics and campaign finance laws, Tom Tiffany didn’t want to get to the bottom of it. Instead, Tiffany authored a bill to change the law and exempt politicians like himself from future, similar investigations of political corruption.

Congressman Tom Tiffany took thousands from big data center developers, and voted to give data centers a nearly $70 billion tax cut while working families foot the bill. He also voted to block Wisconsin from regulating AI for ten years and says data centers are a “great new technology” that he would “certainly” consider bringing to Wisconsin. 

Congressman Tom Tiffany was willing to throw out the votes of millions of Wisconsinites in 2020 because he didn’t like the results and bought into debunked conspiracy theories. He not only supported a wild lawsuit that even the right-wing majority on the U.S. Supreme Court wouldn’t take up, he voted against certifying the 2020 election results and years later was still refusing to acknowledge the truth that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Tiffany even thinks January 6 insurrectionists should be eligible for payouts funded with our tax dollars.

Congressman Tom Tiffany didn’t pay any state income taxes in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010, according to state records. But he did pay in 2011 — the year in which he received $49,943 in state taxpayer funded legislative salary, comprehensive health insurance and pension benefits and over $9,500 in tax-free payments for attending work in Madison. And the business he owned also paid nothing in state taxes for years.

And he hasn’t stopped there; in Washington D.C., Tiffany has sponsored legislation to eliminate the Department of Education.

Congressman Tom Tiffany is toxic on environmental issues. It’s not just that Tiffany took money from pro-mining interests and then sponsored legislation to gut state environmental protections. Tiffany has even bragged that being named as one of the worst state legislators for protecting people from pollution was a “badge of honor.”
