But Wisconsin is one of only two states that have refused to adopt an expansion of post-partum care for new moms under the Medicaid program.

Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is adamantly opposed to this expansion and has used his power to block it.

But he’s only one person.

It’s also Republican state legislators who are refusing to stand up to Vos that are letting him get away with stopping new moms from getting the care they need.

Republicans have had opportunities to vote for expanding care. And every time, Republican legislators have voted with their party boss instead of supporting Wisconsin moms.
