Republicans in the state legislature voted lock-step to keep a law from 1849 to try to ban abortion in Wisconsin.

They would have provided no exceptions for rape or incest or the health of the person. They even threatened doctors and nurses with prison time for providing abortion care.

Abortion bans can cause serious problems for people who have medical complications in their pregnancy that threaten their health and future fertility.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, and the choice that’s right for one person may not be right for someone else. We need to trust people to make these decision.
