But when he was Attorney General, Brad Schimel refused to join a multi-state lawsuit to hold opioid manufacturer Purdue Pharma accountable for the harm they were causing – even as 71 of 72 Wisconsin counties also filed lawsuits against them.
Instead, Brad Schimel was the only Wisconsin state candidate to get a campaign contribution from opioid manufacturer Purdue Pharma’s PAC.
The company also gave money to a national Republican group whose PAC spent nearly $3 million trying to get Brad Schimel elected in 2018.
