The system is broken, and hard working families and the middle class are getting left behind as the rich get richer and big tech rips us off.
The good news is there’s another way.
Progressive leaders have proposed plans in the State Assembly and are fighting to:
Lower costs for working people and families on things that hit their pocketbooks, like lunches for their kids and child care. They also have plans to deliver targeted tax savings for working people and the middle class and to crack down on AI abuses that raise costs.
Make health care more affordable by lowering insurance costs, capping insulin costs, making prescription drugs more affordable, expanding who can buy BadgerCare insurance, and protecting health care consumers from unfair denials of coverage by insurance companies.
Hold big tech accountable by rolling back a tax giveaway for data center developers, passing tough standards that make big tech pay for all of the energy they use, protect our clean air and water, and let communities make the decision about whether or not they want a data center.
Make sure the state meets its commitment to public schools by fully funding the state share, including special education, because we shouldn’t have to choose between great schools for our kids or higher property taxes.
Build safe and strong communities by helping people achieve their goal of owning their home, supporting our local governments that deliver critical community services, and protecting our clean water.
Protect our rights and freedoms by keeping politicians out of personal decisions that women should make with their doctors and their families by protecting access to birth control and repealing an 1849 law extremists have used to try to ban abortion.
Enact the sensible legalization and taxation of marijuana.
